IT DueDilligence

The outcome of a DueDiligence decides between success and failure of a transformation. Although everyone understands how important this is, it is usually neglected or only partially carried out. Very soon after the signing of the outsourcing contract, begins the real discussion between customer and outsourcer on the actual state, the number of the acquired assets, locations, contractual obligations to other suppliers, etc … Always a big opportunity for speculations, discussions and unclear positions.

We see the DueDiligence in different time phases of outsourcing:

Before signature of the outsourcing contract. This period is extremely short and the data quality is not high. The more readily available data, it is important to check its plausibility and place a realistic and fair proposal in the last call of a tender. This process cannot be fully automated as the business cases vary greatly. However, skilled and experienced people to come to an accurate result more quickly than do other specialists. This works due to existing templates, which are used by the VCA AG.

After signing the outsourcing contract in any case a detailed investigation should take place. We also call this DueDiligence where we expect a much higher accuracy of the data. Our goal is to achieve an accuracy of z from 95 to 98 percent a plan to transform properly. Without such an assessment cannot be guaranteed that the operation will actually work, agreed service level agreements are met, fits the billing for services or future penalty payments can be avoided. This gives our customer the space for a True-Up or Breakdown arrangement with the other contract party.
